We don't often report on the match stats, but felt the need to dig into the travesty of Saturday's defeat a little more closely...

The fact that Hughton's men managed only 6 shots on target against non-league opposition says something about the imminent need for more firepower, but put together with the possession stats that show Luton had more of the ball, paints a very bleak picture of the ability of the current team.

The majority of this team selected are simply not good enough for this football club at this moment in time.
