Lee Camp Reported To Have Medical Today

There is growing momentum in the media that Norwich City are to sign goal keeper, Lee Camp.

Camp,28, is available on a free transfer after being told by Forest boss Alex McLeish that he can leave in this window.

It seems that Camp and Forest have been unable to agree a new deal and the ex-Derby stopper is out of contract in the summer.

Reports in The Mirror, Daily Mail and various other media outlets suggest that Chris Hughton is looking to bring him to Carrow Road, presumably as back up to Mark Bunn.

Hughton has previously spoken of his desire to get Declan Rudd and Jed Steer out on loan to get some game time.

The very serious injury to John Ruddy means that our No.1 keeper is unlikely to return until April at the earliest.

Mark Bunn has done ok and seems a decent shot stopper but since he took Ruddy's place in the team we have only kept one clean sheet - coincidence?

I'm sure you will all remember Camp from a short loan spell at Norwich in 2006 during a period when after the sale of Robert Green, goal keeper was a problem position.

But what I most remember about him is his performance when he was on loan at QPR a year or two later.

He gave a comedy goalie show that day and his shocking performance handed City the win that kept us in The Championship that year.

Obviously he has a soft spot for City and wanted to help us stay up that day.

On a serious note, he was very young then and is only 28 now so hopefully is a more experienced player than he was then.

I also see that 1p5wich want him, in all fairness he'd be more likely to get more game time there but maybe he'd fancy dislodging Mark Bunn...
