Elliott Ward Re-Joins Forest

Elliott Ward Re-Joins Forest
Alex McLeish`s new club Nottingham Forest have re-signed Norwich City defender Elliott Ward on loan until the end of the season.

The 27-year-old has made 12 appearances while at the City Ground on loan from late October until the end of the year, but returned to Carrow Road at the end of 2012, appearing on the bench for the Peterborough FA Cup win.

He told the Forest website: 'I am glad things have been sorted out. I really enjoyed my initial loan spell.'

Ward is in the squad for Saturday's home Championship game against Peterborough United.

It remains to be seen whether Ward will sign permanently at the end of his loan deal, with McLeish hinting this could be the case.

McLeish told the official Forest site, "We are looking at another loan, just so I can have a look at him, perhaps with a view to making it more permanent beyond that."

Ward links up with fellow Norwich City defender Daniel Ayala who is on a season long loan at Forest, and former loanee Henri Lansbury who signed permanently from Arsenal in the summer.

Ward looks as though he may have played his last game for Norwich City. If so, we wish him well.
