Lambert And City Settle Dispute
Norwich City, Paul Lambert and Aston Villa have settled the long running dispute surrounding Lambert's move to Villa, last summer.

Lambert and City were supposedly suing each other for breach of contract.

The news first came about when City Chairman Alan Bowkett announced at a fans' forum that Lambert was suing the club for 2m. Lambert resonded by stating that it was City who were suing him.

The whole sorry matter was to be settled at a Premier League tribunal next month but it seems all parties have come to an agreement.

A joint statement issued by Norwich City and Aston Villa reads:

'Paul Lambert, Norwich City and Aston Villa have agreed settlement in respect of the dispute regarding Paul Lambert`s departure from Norwich City, whereby Villa will pay Norwich City the original amount as agreed in the contract between Paul Lambert and Norwich City, and Norwich City will pay Paul Lambert the bonus he was entitled to after completion of the 2011/12 season.

This represents a final settlement of all claims and disputes between the parties. No further comment will be made.'

So, that seems an end to the matter - I am sure that Lambert will be glad this is all over and that he can concentrate on football matters again.

Wales. We should have paid his bonus from the start. Regardless off what followed he deserved for what he achieved. As for the rest sounds as if we got what was contractually agreed. But one wonders now how much a bargin villa still think they have. Their part in this always seemed slimey and underhand. Ahhhh, but karma my friend, karma!!!
