John Ruddy in England Debut

John Ruddy made his England debut tonight against Italy at Wembley.

Ruddy came on as a second half sub for youngster Jack Butland.

He becomes the seventh Norwich City player to represent England and the first Norwich City player to play for England since Robert Green in May 2006.

Congratulations John Ruddy on your fantastic achievement.

In the other internationals, Steve Morison appeared as a substitute for Wales in their defeat to Bosnia, playing 30 minutes.

For Scotland, Russell Martin came on as a second half sub for Alan Hutton, and Robert Snodgrass played the full game in their impressive win over Australia.

All City players are believed to have come through unscathed.

City England players: Phil Boyer (1976), Kevin Reeves (1979), Mark Barham (1983), David Watson (1984-1986), Chris Woods (1985-1986), Robert Green (2005-6), John Ruddy (2012-)

Oh dear. First, he is likely to be selected again. Second, he is likely to be snapped up by one of the big spenders. I hope Rudd is prepared.
