Grant Holt Signs 3 Year Contract

Grant Holt today signed a contract keeping him at the club until 2015.

Just six weeks ago Holt was adamant that he wanted to leave the club, and despite reported interest from West Ham, Aston Villa and QPR, Holt has decided to stay.

'I`m really pleased we`ve agreed things and that I`ve got a three-year deal which gives me and my family a bit of security.'

Holt also made reference to the way in which the club has dealt with his particular case.

'I do appreciate where the club was coming from in terms of the process we`ve gone through to get to this point. Now I`m just really keen to concentrate on getting back to work with the rest of the lads'

The Holt issue has divided City fans, but the majority have continued to supported Holt, and with this news will continue to support the 70-goal man in the final three years of his career.

Goalscorers are hard to find and perhaps there is a certain selfishness that goes hand in hand with such a desirable skill. Holt will continue to receive support from everyone at Vital Norwich whilst he is a Norwich City player.

Great news. Now get another up front to support him and get the back four sorted. Butterfield will I hope be a gem but do we need much more in the middle?

superb news - three great deals in the bag for Hughton this week and you've gotta say Holt staying is the highlight - he deserved the deal and hopefully we can put all the stupid mud-slinging behind us and get on with the new season. Maybe another defender to find and we're ready to go...
