Holt Valuation Met
The EDP are reporting today that West Ham have improved their offer for Holt, and are ready to meet City's £6m valuation of the 31 year old.
The offer would include a huge wage rise for Holt, more than doubling his pay to £40k per week.
Hammers` co-owner David Gold commented, 'We`re connected with about 20 players. What we hope to do is to maybe bring in two, three or maybe four players by the close of the window as we start off in the new season.'
There has been no official word from the club on the matter, but there is pre-organised a board meeting today.
It would be interesting to know if West Ham's bid is on the agenda, and whether we'll hear anything about the futures of Culverhouse and Karsa.

Well, Golds comments of links to twenty or so players are testimony to my theory of destablisation tactics.
Unless the board all ready have a replacement all but signed there answer should continue to be NO!!!!
From that fee we have payments still to make to the Shrews Im sure.
Balanced against the possibility of a lower league position and possible relegation thus missing next seasons tv bonanza to sell at this point could be suicide.
