Shake-up at Vital Norwich

Not to be outdone by Hughton, McNally, Holt and co, Vital Norwich have some changes of our own to announce.

Michael Dilley (aka Dill aka theguru) has decided to relinquish the role of Editor after four seasons in the role. As an exiled Canary living in Bedford, Dill has been involved with Vital Norwich since the dark days of Glenn Roeder, nearly five years ago.

Known for his sharp wit and his ability to eloquently sum up the key issues facing the Yellow Army, he has built the site up over the years, increasing readership by around 200% and leaving Vital Norwich as one of the most popular and respected Vital network sites.

It`s a reflection on how far we`ve come that his first column for Vital was a positive piece on the permanent signing of Matty Pattison. Clearly a man of sound judgement…

Dill will still be involved in a reduced capacity, writing the occasional article and helping out with stats etc. He`s an excellent writer and huge Canaries fan, and we wish him well.

In his place, Ian Wilson (Savvy Monkey) will be taking over the Editor role.

Savvy has been writing for the site since March 2011, taking on additional co-editing responsibilities since Christmas.

Savvy brings a calming influence to the site, much like the apparent style of a certain Chris Hughton.

By day Savvy works in marketing for a financial services firm, and lives just outside Norwich with his wife and two young children.

He has a varied background, being a closet economist and curiously speaks Dutch (just don`t ask how or why).

Savvy has written for the Huffington Post and Sabotage Times, whilst also writing the occasional match report for The Pinkun.

Savvy will be supported by our excellent writers; James Shiplee, Jack Phillips, Nick Sellers and Nathan Tuck, as well as our forum moderators and admins.

Vital Norwich says a big thank you to Dill and welcomes Savvy Monkey to the role.

Congrats Savvy on your new role. Guru was editor when I joined the site and I often wear the tee shirt sent to me by him to games ! I have always felt so honoured to be the only poster on here to ACTUALLY receive a tee-shirt ! !

Only been involved for one season, and that was after Dill's call for writers on twitter so he'll be missed as editor. But looking forward to Sav's era!
