'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Press Conference Called at 230pm

Former Spurs and Republic of Ireland full-back, Chris Hughton is expected to be unveiled to the press at Carrow Road today.

Hughton, 53 is the current Birmingham City Manager, and former manager of Newcastle United.

Birmingham City gave a statement yesterday, "Birmingham City FC can confirm that Norwich City FC have made an approach for Chris Hughton with regards to their vacant managerial position.

"Hughton expressed a wish to speak to the Canaries and permission was reluctantly granted."

Acting chairman Peter Pannu said: "Chris is a great manager and deserves the opportunity to speak to Norwich, which is why we have granted him permission to speak to them."

He spent 10 years as assistant manager at Tottenham Hotspur, working with Gerry Francis, Glenn Hoddle and Martin Jol among others.

It will be interesting to see if the club confirm the futures of the popular Ian Culverhouse and Head of Football Operations, Gary Karsa.

Sad thing Villa robbed you off lambert, but Hughton looks like an adequate replacement though.

Villa didn't rob anyone mate, Lambert chose to leave, he was said to have been unhappy with the Norwich board while Villa were talking to Ole Gunnar Solskjær so you can park that one up, plus we bought Lambo so get your facts right. Norwich fans I knew things would work out for you guys, best of luck to Chris Hughton and you guys.

I don't know what's gone on behind closed doors between managers, chairmen or owners but you Norwich fans have conducted yourself tremendously (from what I've seen) throughout this process.
