'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Goals Galore

What with Arsenal being Saturday's guests, I'm pretty wary. Especially since it's safe to say we've been leaky at the back lately without upsetting too many people.

Added to that, Arsenal, or rather Robin Van Persie has been fairly devastating lately. He's emphatic and they're pacy. Pace is something I have never been comfortable with our back four facing. De Laet's pace could be on the cards I suppose.

It's a recipe for goals, and not the kind where we will scathingly counter with a 'so it's a dead cert for a bore draw.'

That simply won't happen.

RVP is going to add points to my fantasy team, but the positive for us is that they're not especially steady at the back either. They're as bully-able as they come. The chances are we'll score as well, they're shaky.

We've not taken a pasting yet and hopefully, come Sunday, that will still be reserved in case Man City want it. I wouldn't even be overly surprised if we take something from the game against the Gooners.

This may all sound a tad defeatist, pessimistic, whatever you want to call it, but if it rings true we can still comfort ourselves by the fact we're not racing these lot this season.

Of course results matter, but if the right Arsenal turn up we have a chance. So at least we cleared that up.

Nothing disrupts the passing game better than constant harrying. If we don't give them space, they will not be able to build an attack. The key is midfield dominance; our defence is only weak if they manage to reach the back four. If we keep attacking, they will have to support their defence and won't get a chance to counter. The times when we have been vulnerable have been when we gave too much space.

Just remember our first match ever in the Premiership: Arsenal 2 - Norwich 4. Okay - it's unlikely, but................well - everything's crossed!
