Yellow Belly's Wednesday match report

The last time I saw NC (TV excluded) was at Burnley, but this was only marginally 'better'. But then it had to be after that woeful day in Lancashire.

Again we did not start too badly, and overall we deserved our lead against a poor side. But we are poor as well and simply did not have the ability to 'put the game to bed' once we had scored.

Wednesday came out much more determined than us to win this game and this they did with comparable ease, against a clueless Norwich side who looked like no-one is coaching them how to defend. We conceded three cheap goals - an easy header from a corner, a header in from the far post with NO-ONE marking the attacker and lastly a ball across Marshall from the far post without a defender in sight. Lita took his goal well in front of us fans and had the ball in the net at the death, but it was ruled offside.

The defence looks hopeless against determined running against it, and innaccurate balls out of defence merely put the pressure back on us.

The midfield is full of lightweight players who have the ball taken off them only too easily.

The attack is fairly inept. Playing one up front with Hoolahoop just behind is not a style I like, or one that appears to work. Sibs again was usesless when he came on.

All in all a very disappointing day, but as I walked to the ground I was expecting exactly what we got - NOTHING. This is now Roeder's team, and IMO he has to take the blame as it was he alone who decided to release our best player and brought in who he has. I also agree with Aveit that some NC players didn't fancy a day in the freezing fog in Sheffield, and consequently got whipped.

Again our fans were magnificent and Rodent and his players should hang their heads in shame in front of them. About 1000 of us turned up to sit in temperatures below zero to endure another afternoon of dross, from 11 idiots who haven't got a clue how to defend a lead, or even a draw. At least I was one of the lucky ones - as I live about 18 miles from Hillborough I was back home by 5.30pm. I know that DG and his crew are at this moment driving through the freezing fog to get back to Norwich.

Lastly I beg the Board again to do something about The Undertaker as this man takes us into Div 1. As the defeats roll in week after week , he is surely taking us there.
