My first game was in 1987, a forgettable affair of a football match (for an 8-year-old) that ended in a 1-1 draw against cup finalists Coventry.
In my next game we got battered 3-0 by a strong Everton side, but no matter, I was hooked on the theatre and occasion.
FA Cup semi-finals followed soon after and by the time Inter and Bayern Munich turned up it looked like a one-way bet.
Tears at Elland Road in '95 ended those hopes and being yellow 'n green has mostly yielded tough times since. In a strange way, I've enjoyed those bad times nearly as much!
I live just outside the Fine City with my wife and toddler son, and work in Marketing.
