I`m 33 years old. I`m from Russian, Ryazan. Norwich support since 2003, after the article on "canary" in a Russian newspaper. In Russia, support the "Tom" (Tomsk). I read this forum, I teach English ... In 2013, plan a trip to Norwich.

Having posted my first thread yesterday I thought I would give a bit of background.

I was born in Norwich, and lived in Loddon until the age of 19. I now live in Woodhall Spa in Lincolnshire and work as a Greenkeeper at the golf course here.

I have been a NCFC fan for as long as I can remember and was even fortunate enough to be a ballboy for the match against Bradford City on November 9th 1985 (ingrained in my memory), boring 0-0 draw.

Looking forward to taking part in ,more discussions.

A very warm welcome to the site Woodhall ! I see you live in a very pleasant place. My uncle used to live there about 20 years ago and at the time I was a regular visitor to the town

Hello chaps!

Introduction of myself. Don't mind folk knowing my proper name is Phil, however CanaryOfTheNorth comes from the fact I am from Northern Ireland and live in Scotland, so I do like the N side of the compas! Originally from East Belfast, then onto a horrible town called Bangor in Co. Down. Now in Stirling, Scotland as I'm student scum!

Never ever been to a City game in my life but it shouldn't be long now. Hopefully this season coming.

Decided to join up after reading these forums for a wee while as a Guest, so I know some of you better than you know me, so to speak!

Hopefully some great discussions to come with you guys! Do go easy on me on my first few weeks.

COTN.

COTN, do you support Glentoran in the Irish League (and aren't you being a wee bit hard on Bangor?!?).
I'm also originally from Belfast, living in Dublin at present, and have been a Villa supporter for a long time now, largely on account of my parents living in Birmingham for over 30 years.
I have been to Carrow Road - only once alas - to see the Canaries beat the Baggies. I was visiting friends in Caister at the time (back in the 1970s).
I'm obviously visiting this site on account of the Paul Lambert situation and hope you'll get a good new manager soon.

I am as a matter of fact a Glentoran supporter - however haven't been to a Glentoran match is what feels like a long time due to my living quarters being in Scotland - I find that a hard thing to complain about with the recent fracas involved at my beloved East Belfast club.

Howdy from Fort Worth, Texas... y'all!!!

I started following the Canaries in the early 80's when my grandmother showed me the geneology that our family had come from Norwich (and that one ancestor had been mayor in the 1730s). My interest however was pretty much limited to checking the standings in the paper, if/when they were printed. The internet has helped obviously in recent years, with the EPL promotion allowing me to watch nearly all the games online - a great was to spend a Saturday/Sunday morning before NCAA/NFL football comes on.

Most folks around here that support English teams tend to stick with the big market ones, and there was a spike in interest in Liverpool a few years ago when Tom Hicks (who owned the baseball/hockey teams here in DFW) acquired them. But after all these year I'm still sticking to the Canaries.

I'll have to make it over for a match one of these days. The weather is bound to be a lot more pleasant than for the typical FC Dallas MLS match (it's a chilly 95 degrees at 7:40 in the evening as I type this).

Marc
