Has signed a new three-and-half-year deal. Was he on a year contract then?

He said :

'I’ve mentioned it before, but in the summer I was just happy to have the chance to come here and play for Norwich City. It’s the best thing that could have happened for me. I’m looking forward to having some more years here.'

Needs to improve , but I'm sure the lad does his best . It's the future of Norwich under the present Joint Ownership that this is the quality of player we will have to sign .

Welcome everyone to what may be a very long stay in this League with Delia Smiths Norwich

DF said that Wenger was very impressed with him after cup game and said he was a great find. Zimmer has all the attributes to be a class defender and I am sure will probably be about if/when Klose is sold.

Raggett - Zimmermann - Hanley - Klose makes for good reading for the central defensive roles. I am thinking Franke will get a loan. Martin needs to be moved on. If Klose leaves then maybe a new one will be needed or just promote the impressive Crowe.

Farke talks about Teabag a bit today and says what a great guy he is , but doesn't discuss things with him while he is out injured . DF doesn't go as far as to say Teabag will be here next season and says they have 8 months to decide . But surely if he is to be offered a new contract it's got to be on lower wages (I assume Tetty is still on a Prem contract) , so I reckon he will be on his way

I see a Marcel Franke is interesting Union Berlin . If he goes he wouldn't have lasted long . NC seem to know how to waste the money . He cost us £2.75m and can't get a look in now . Clearly not one of Webbers/Farkes buys !

I was saying that I could see Franke going out on loan but if he is too be sold then I hope it is for money. If we get 2.7 for him then that can go into transfers ---- yea right.

Franke has never looked right looked a bit overweight. I guess he will be out with the plan for Raggett to come in as back up for Hanley and Klose.

I am guessing that was a sarcastic comment at the end YB!

With Franke going to UC Berlin on loan, I wonder if we are going to sign Toni Leistner (who plays for UC Berlin) on a free in the summer of 2018?

BB I think Mr Leistenr was DF's 1st choice in the transfer market this summer but missed out. I could see him going back for him.

Funny thing about the Franke loan is that we didn't want to sell? I thought DF would have wanted to move on if he is a fringe player and not going to make it but maybe DF thinks he will still come good. The Dresden boss said they wanted to buy him but we didn't want to sell:

'With Marcel, we have found an ideal solution for the second half of the season. Marcel is a Dresden boy, has experience and is in his prime. He will fuel the competition in central defence, which will ultimately benefit everyone.

I would like to express my gratitude to the people in charge of Norwich City for making the transfer possible. But we would have liked to secure a purchase, that this was not possible shows the high esteem that Marcel is held in at Norwich.'

Franke is happy to secure the move:

'I’m really overjoyed that the move went through, Dynamo is my home club, I played here for 15 years and enjoyed a very good education here. I will do my utmost to get my work done in the second half of the season and help the team achieve their goals. I am eager to finally be back on the pitch for Dynamo and I’m already looking forward to the coming months.'

I wonder if they have paid any loan fee? Also reading that we paid 2.5 million for him. Is it just me or is that rather a lot for a player who had no interest and was in lower German league
