I'm not a fan of stiepermann at left back but like last season we have left ourselves short in that position.

Subs

McGovern - Jerome - zimmermann - Philips - Wes - Murphy - cantwell

That's about the best we got ! Looks a good attacking side , but as ever the lads are going to need passion , fight , hunger and determination to win the game

I would go exactly the same bears but it doesnt really matter. There is absolutely no way that this team will come back with any points UNLESS they all play to the best of their ability and only then with passion and desire.

DF has said that Abrahams is close to the first team after impressing in u23s.....because he is scoring.

I really hope that he does give players doing well in u23 a go as it will encourage them, give the u23 games some meaning, give the youth players hope, give younger transfer targets something to see that we will play you and also give 1st teamers a kick.

DF said on Abrahams

'Tristan is not far away. I watched the last development game against Aston Villa and he scored. But it is a big difference from playing in the under-23s and being a striker at Championship level. We are watching carefully but it is not a case that six or seven can play immediately. We are always looking at the guys in the under-23s and under-18s. It is important for a club who is not able to spend millions on new players to develop your own. But it is also important to wait for the right moment. We have a lot of young lads on the pitch already in the first team. Look at Preston, where Adam Phillips and Todd Cantwell were on the bench.

'Yes, we are struggling to score goals but you have to be careful to throw so many in. It is about the right balance between youth and experience.'

The thing is I don't like this 'oh look I am trusting and using the youth players because have them sitting on the bench' but you'll never play them DF!

Josh Murphy is City’s current top scorer but the young attacker is still to establish himself as a regular first choice under Farke.

“Josh has scored a lot of goals this season and can be brilliant, but then sometimes there is a performance when he is not on his best level, this underlines our approach. I knew when I arrived we would go a special way and I am convinced of the quality with my lads. decided to develop young lads and I am realistic to know there will be periods when the performance is up and down. That is quite normal with younger players. There can be a period like now when we are struggling with results. Plus we have had some experienced key players injured, like Alex Pritchard or Nelson and Timm Klose for periods. Maybe compared to some clubs we have better opportunities but it is also fair to say clubs like Wolves or Middlesbrough can spend more money than us to buy players. We are competitive, maybe not in financial terms, but on the pitch.'

Our special way.....I like that, it's as if we are the only club in football trying to develop youngsters and play them....but really only have 2 youth/academy players in the side (1 if you take away Gunn).

Apparently Jerome can't shake this foot injury. Why are our players unable to get over injuries? What is going on? Jerome having a foot injury is funny considering he hardly uses his feet to hit a ball.

Is anyone feeling confident about tonight? I am not.

I think we will go with the same style of play hoping to suffocate them and then hopefully sneak a goal and then sit back.

I fear that we will let in a goal and that will go out the window and then we will be at 6s and 7s with no idea of what to do.

We can't sit back

Not confident at all . If we can't be up for a home game , I can't see us doing much in Cardiff on a cold December night

Same formation and same style of play I guess.

Vrancic playing is a shame. If Trybull is fit I would play him and same with Pritchard.

Wes out wide hasn't ever worked - Murphy has been off colour - Vrancic isn't a central midfielder - Stiepermann isn't a Left back.
