We have more injuries for tomorrow.

Husband will be out for at least 2 weeks and is also suspended.
Trybull is defo out for tomorrow DF said he will be out for a week.

DF says Maddison needs to be 'full of energy to create something special in a game' but is flagging at the moment but due to injuries he can't afford to rest him (and may I add having a small squad and not wanting to play younger players).

DF admits that Vrancic is struggling 'Mario is struggling, yes. We know without the ball is not his game. But once he is with the ball he can create something special.' He went on to say 'I accept that it is not quite working for him at the moment, Mario is also very frustrated but he is very keen to improve'. DF said that Vrancic is similar to Ozil in style but for Vrancic when he has a bad performance it looks very bad. DF did throw in that Vrancic covered the most distance on the weekend - DF loves his stats. DF has lots of trust in Vrancic and will work with him to make him a better player for Norwich.

DF also said that Murphy knows he played poorly on the weekend and DF has spoken to him but he does 'trust him'. I can see him being on the bench tomorrow. DF said 'If Josh, at his age, now was on consistently high-level performance then Liverpool or Man city would come with £25m to get him. This our way at the moment.' I don't get the last bit but it is tweet so could have been shortened down. He said that Josh has massive ability.

All about trust it seems.

DF wants to play Pritchard asap but knows he needs to gain fitness - he will play for u23s tonight....I hope he stays free of any knocks.

DF says that Pritchard is 'burning to play football again'. Martin will also play for u23s tonight. Naismith would have done but has another injury.

DF says Pritchard will take until at least January until ready to start so will most probably be on the bench before then.

Phillips was considered for main squad tomorrow but needs to play more U23 football before 1st team contention.

Cantwell will travel with 1st team tomorrow. In fact Cantwell has been moved into the 1st team squad photos on the website along with Phillips.

On recent form, DF said 'This is life in the Championship and I am not stressing and not getting too down about it, players have discussed the weekend performance frankly & put to bed it too bed'

DF says that if someone would have told him after Millwall they would be 3 points off playoffs he would have taken it straight away.

So team getting thinner - I think we might see the 3-4-2-1 tomorrow (or 5-3-2-1). The central midfield tomorrow is going to look very lightweight tomorrow which is a real worry.

If we go with the above formation it will be

Maddison
Vrancic
Reed

in the middle which is so weak.

I would throw Wildschut on the left as a left winger/wingback and move Stiepermann into the central role, which is his actual position:

DF keeps going on about the Arsenal game - maybe time to look forward and not back.

Saying that when we are all 100pc Norwich can beat anyone....the thing is we aren't 100pc at all.

Going to be a patched-up side tomorrow.

Maddison said:

'Difficult to take positives when the team is losing and not winning games but I am quite happy with how I'm doing and regular games are helping.'

'I've got another gear or two to go up I feel. Need to score goals and get more assists. If you want 2 be a top player you have to handle pressure. The fans have been brilliant with me, big players have to thrive on pressure. I came back (from Eng U21s) even hungrier. We didn't get the win on Saturday but I've come back with the bit between my teeth. We've got a real togetherness, even when losing there's a really good feel within this group. we no results of late are not good enough but I have never felt the togetherness there is in this squad. We are so tight-knit which helps.'

Maddison said he isn't tired and his legs are getting stronger.

Maddison said it is a good sign that he is getting kicked about by players because it shows that they are frustrated by his play and they think he is taking the mick.

So what would you guys go with?

----------------------------------------------------------Gunn-------------------------------------------------

-----------------------------------------Hanley - Zimmermann - Klose-------------------------------
------------------------Pinto (c)-------------------------------------------------------Wildschut----------

---------------------------------------- Maddison----Reed ----Stiepermann-------------------------

--------------------------------------------Oliviera------------------Murphy------------------------------

Subs:

McGovern-Franke-Wes-Jerome-Cantwell-Vrancic-Watkins

I would push Murphy up top with Oli. with this the formation can be moved about - Stiepermann can swap with Wildschut - Murphy could swap with Maddison.

I think that might be the best we can go with.

Unless you move Maddison up top and Swap Vrancic with Murphy.

I am not sure about the same bloody 4-2-3-1 formation (very AN) also I am not convinced by Vrancic as a central defensive midfielder - the guy always pulls out of tackles and doesn't chase back - I would have rather bloody Phillips play!!

Watkins on the right wing and Wes on the left - I am not at all sure or convinced by this lineup - seems like square pegs in round holes to me

our third forward is on the right winger or is that our attacking midfielder is on the right wing or ...

DF has now played Watkins on the right for last two games, surely he doesn't see him as a forward anymore and that means we need a new forward!!!!!!!!
