Sean Raggett is another who is attracting interest. He is due back in January and the rules state that a player can only play for two clubs in a season. so if he plays for us in the FA Cup I think that means he can't go out on loan again or would Lincoln count as one club?

Apparently, there are lots of championships clubs interested in a loan for him. I say if we are not planning on playing him then loan him to a league 1 club.

Would he be pushing Hanley - Klose - Zimmermann or would he just be a back up for those 3?

All this seems very strange where we have 4 central defenders , 3 of which were bought by Farke/Webber , yet only 2 strikers , one of which has let us down as we knew he would

If things did happen in January we could lose - Godfrey - Maddison - Oli - Tettey - Raggett (on loan) - Martin (loan).

Only one of those I'd be happy to lose.

I do like Maddison's attitude of saying he has only started playing in the championship and not looking that far ahead.

'We hadn’t won a game in eight (before Saturday) – so January is the last thing on my mind to be honest, I’m just focusing on putting in a good run of performances for the club. This is my first run of games in the Championship. I’m not looking too far ahead and I’ll just keep focusing on my form for Norwich. I’ve always said I’ve known I’ve got the ability and I’m a confident boy. I know I’ve got the ability to go and make it happen. It’s just about getting that opportunity and taking it, which I have done so far.'

Maddison also seems to be very close to the manager I wonder if this might be a reason he would stay?

'Yeah, he’s (DF) been very good, he’s been his normal self. Managers can fold under pressure and obviously, it’s a business, at the end of the day. Managers do get sacked and it’s part of football.
But he’s stayed true to himself and his philosophy, and we’ve worked hard on the little things. We’ve tried to tweak those little things because it was a very bad run for us – and it has paid off.'

DF says that he had to sell the clubs three best players in summer? Howson - Murphy and....Dorrans? Or have I forgotten someone?

'We had to lower the wage bill, we needed some transfer fees. We had to sell three of our best players in pre-season.'

DF seems to suggest that anything from 5th to 20th is realistic this season. 20th!!!!

'Really anything between 5th and 20th can happen. We are prepared for that.'

Perhaps he meant Ruddy , but he like Howson was on big wages . I think he sold Dorrans because he was total crap !

So the Bielik rumours have resurfaced once again - the reports saying he is fit again and we are interested. He was close to signing on loan in summer but injury stopped it. I also don't know how keen he was on a move as he wanted to fight for his Arsenal place.

He is a defensive midfielder but I thought DF was happy with his midfield. he can also play as a central defender.

With Klose - Hanley - Zimmermann and Raggett in that role, I can't see why DF would go for him even if Raggett stays on loan.

The same in the defensive midfield roles with Trybull - Tettey - Reed?

I think it is just old news being recycled.

So Naismith, who has never really done it for us, has said before that he wants to give more to the club, has been out most of this season and just got fit is now saying he thinks he needs to move to get regular football.

Hey I'm happy for him to leave to free up wages and get in some cash but where is the loyalty? The guy has sat on 50k a week doing nothing for us and now says he wants out.

I don't think he'll stay about he says:

'In the last few weeks, it’s been really tough to get back in the side. Being out for a period of time has made me realise the main thing is playing as many games as you can. The new manager has come in during the summer and I had a really good pre-season, scoring goals and felt really fit. He made a few signings and has his idea of how he wanted to play and who he wanted to play in the side.'

Sounds like he is annoyed that he isn't involved but he has been injured.... Hasn't he?

'i have struggled to get in after I got my injury and that’s something I will need to look at in January. Ill do as much as I can in the short term to do that, but I don’t think at my age you can afford to have too many months not playing when you are fit and ready to play.

Sounds to me like Naismith is saying he has been fun for a month and has been overlooked.

'I do want to come back and play in Scotland and the older I’ve got, the more interest I have in terms of coaching and tactics, and what you should be doing as a player in games. If I can do that for some of the young guys coming through in Scotland, then that’s something I want to give back in that respect. But whether that’s in the short term or long term, we need to wait and see.'

Mate whether or not you're not playing I think you need to move on.

He only tried hard in his very first game for us and done nothing since . I will be so glad when Naismith , Martin , Jarvis and Jerome have gone and we don't have to pay theses losers and wasters these vast Prem wages

Paddy & Bailey says that DF is looking for a defensive midfielder but doesn't see the Bielik transfer happening as Arsenal wanted reassurances that he played and he can't see that being the case still.

Bailey says that the club is worried about Tettey situation and have also been interested in Morsy.

Bailey said the club should look at what Sunderland did the other weekend - throwing on two fresh youngsters for two experienced players. Could you see Norwich throwing on Cantwell or Abrahams for Oli or a Jerome - no.

Bailey says the Franke could be loaned out and not sold.

They say that only noise from the club on strikers is Oliveira leaving and no one coming in but after Leeds game who would want him. They say that Webber/DF want to sell fringe players in January but difficult month to sell.....Fringe players - Naismith - Jarvis - Franke -Tofollo - Martin

Paddy says he wants Abrahams in the squad and getting games - he says he has played well in u23 and scored so why not, the 1st team players aren't doing it.

Paddy and Bailey both confused by DF's inability to make subs especially away from home. making subs in the 84th minute was just silly. They said that we were on top after the break and Leeds were rattled so should have thrown on players then. Paddy said 'I recall Alex Neil was castigated for the same thing.'

Bailey says that loaning players out is great but it can come back to bite you as the midfield situation has shown

Bailey says that the club has big plans for Morris and he will get chance next summer. He says that he thinks Oliviera doesn't fit into or like the system we are playing so if an offer comes in then watch this space.

A question was asked about Martin and they replied - It speaks volumes that Franke was on the bench a couple of times even though Martin was fit. Bailey seems to think he might be looking for a move in January but Paddy says he is a good back up for Pinto. On another note apparently, Pinto isn't fit and has been playing with an injury - again says it all that DF rather play a 50% Pinto rather than a 100% Martin. Something we need to look at is the RB position too. They said that Even if Pinto is out DF would go three at the back or play Wildschut at RB. Bye bye Martin.

Bailey says that Webber and DF idea of the club is: about having a squad that isn't carrying timber - no dead wage weights pulling everything down and a group of players offering balance and options. And all that, on about a tenth of the wage bill. That's the first stop with this model. Any hopes for promotion may well have to wait a bit longer.

Looks like we will be a development club then.
Total shift from what we are now. We will be bringing youth through the system or buying cheap and developing to sell dear.
Can't really see us getting promoted on that strategy but who knows?

The 'pissing the Prem riches up the wall ' which the Board and Joint Owners allowed to happen in the past has brought us to the sad situation where we may become a very lowly club .

Naismith now just aiming for a move and has said he would love to go back to Rangers or even Kilmarnock. Mate, you have done fuck all here and earn massive wages - shut up - come back to Norwich and do something until a club comes in for you.

I would love someone to offer something for you but until then show respect. He talks about playing for a side that competes and that it has nothing to do with finances -yeah because you have raped us of 50k a week.

would a move to Rangers appeal? I think it would, I’ve spoken in the past about Kilmarnock and Rangers and being appreciative for what they did for me as a player. I would look at those clubs and see if they were options to start with. I wouldn’t say [I had] unfinished business [at Rangers], because we were successful and won a lot of trophies. The way I left wasn’t great. I still watch all their games on TV, still speak to all the players and staff I know at the club. I love hearing how things are going. I still support Rangers and I want them to do well. Moving forward, coming back to Scotland there would be clubs I’d prefer to play with rather than just coming back and picking and choosing whoever. Fortunately, when I come back to Scotland, it’s not going to be about finances at all. It’ll be about what I think is the right fit for me. That’ll be the main thing. You need people at the clubs to want you and you just need to see what options are available. The biggest things for me going to any club would be: will I play, will I bring something to the club and can I help the youngsters who are there?'

'Also, a team that will compete. In Scotland, out with the teams that will challenge, the rest are mixed. One season Kilmarnock can be struggling for relegation now they’re where they are. It’s more what I can bring to the club, if it’s the right fit and if I believe what they’re going forward with. I think I could go anywhere and make a difference.'

Yeah because you made such a difference here!!!

I do think he has been told that he is not going to be a 1st teamer and the club are happy to sell. He never seems to have anything to say about us. I think he never really wanted to move here from Everton.

On another note Klose says he will not look to move in January but......you never know?

'I really enjoy it here at the moment. I like to play football here, I like this role that I have within the squad but you never know what is going to happen in January. There could be someone come in for Nels (Nelson Oliveira), Ivo (Pinto) or even a young player. That is just the business.
You cannot say I am going to stay here for the next 10 years. All I can say is I really enjoy it and I am concentrated to play for Norwich and nothing else. For me it is very important to have a consistent season. Not playing with the ups and downs like I had last season. I try to be that leader here. You have to look for yourself sometimes and what is best for your career and what do you want to achieve and I missed the last two international tournaments because of injuries so of course that is somewhere in my head.'

I'd give Naismith a free if Glasgow Rangers want him and we dont have to give him a payoff to go.
We would save about £4 million if we did that with one and half seasons to go on his contract.

As for Martin, would anybody want him?
