Pinto says Martin is still the main man at Norwich:

'Russ is a big symbol in this club. He’s a great character and as soon as I arrived in Norwich, he was a big help for me. So yes, he is very supportive and he is the club captain. I don’t think there is much to say. When he is not playing, I’m the captain now – I see it that way. But he is the club captain, so he is the main man in the dressing room. I’ve already said before, we don’t need one captain. I think we are all captains. As a team, every player should feel they are responsible to help the team and the club. If we think that way, everything will be easier.'

I like the fact that - After Martin was dropped from the side, Norwich went on a nine-game unbeaten run – including a run which included five clean sheets in-a-row and since he has returned to the bench we haven't won.

Martin .....a liability (and has been for 2 seasons now ) , and an ageing player we can no longer afford to have hanging around doing nothing

Cannot be just a co-incidence. Windmill is definitely a bogey in the side. When is his contract up?

That suicidal pass out of defence straight to a Liverpool player to score still haunts me to this day !

So Sean Raggett will return to us in January and the club have plans to play him according to Lincoln manager:

'You don’t want to be without an important player, but he’s Norwich’s player and they’ve been excellent to deal with. They are planning to involve him in that game in the FA Cup and, if they do, that would be brilliant for Sean. They’re two months away from entering the third round but that is their thinking, to play him.'

NCFC extended it by another season to the summer of 2019.

Enjoy!

Now, if we lose £32m in income ,which is a huge loss that somehow has to be absorbed partly by a drastic cut in expensive players wages because of our failure to go up then who do we blame ? Do we blame the total disaster that was Rab, or do we blame the owners who hung on to him as disaster beckoned ? I seem to remember Mrs Smith declaring her love for Rab and how she would love to keep him for 10 years as manager

Under the circumstances of the financial situation we may well find ourselves in ,we had better all start praying that we go up this season and grieve every damaging loss ....which is what I do

Well, apparently we are all in a different world as DF says there is no need for a new forward. Even if we get injuries DF said we might look then

'If we were to pick up long-term injuries to the striker positions then we would have to discuss this topic, but right now it is not the plan to do anything (in that area) in January, We will not fall asleep, so when you work in the football business you always have to be watching if there are some opportunities to strengthen the squad. We are not different to any other club in that respect.'

'In the last weeks, Nelson was away, Watkins was suspended, Josh (Murphy) had a broken toe, and there was no Alex Pritchard. Yes, for two or three games we are struggling (to find a striker) but in general I don’t like to work with too big a group. When they are all fit it is not so good for the atmosphere. The players here have to feel some trust for me and if we had six strikers here it is not so easy to build that trust. There is a fine line between having options and enough quality and having a group where all the players are needed. We think about this decision but the plan is not to bring in new guys if we don’t have to.'

So he would rather a smaller group to work with then have more options. He says that we will not look to do anything in the window.

There was mention of players coming back from their loans - Morris - Godfrey and Raggett all finish in jan.

'Whenever there is an international break those lads come back here, It will depend on injuries and the rest of the squad but we have options. The plan with players like Ben and Carlton was to let them go on loan for the whole season, because that is the best thing for their development to constantly play, not just a few months. Yes, it is an option for them to come back. We have the opportunity to call them back but it depends where we are with injuries. It is too early yet.'

So basically if we get injuries we will just call back those too.

What has been said about a striker not being top of the shopping list indicates clearly to me the total lack of ambition at the club to get back to the Premier this critical season .

Announce to the world we are looking to buy a striker????? Every third rate agent and forth rate clogger will be queuing to grab a piece of Delias rapidly diminishing pie.
We won't know the truth til the window closes. It's not webbers way to spill beans.

Agreed . We have now given ourselves a mountain to climb thanks to Jeromes one pathetic goals so far this season .

Clwyd ..... Webber doesn't need to say a word . Jerome is quite capable on his own of announcing how much we need a new striker !
