In Jan 2018 maybe we can prise out a striker from somewhere (probably one who is out of contract in the summer of 2018 and I am not think Alexis Sanchez at Arsenal!).

After only playing 5 games so far this season with still another 41 to go that has to be the most defeatest statement I have ever seen from a Norwich Fan, to say we are only here just to survive this league is insane....Were in it to win it.!.!

I am being realistic and my view is based on fifty years of watching football. Normally when a team has had the turnover of players we have had it takes six months for a team to settle down and perform consistently well enough and thats without a change of manager/head coach etc.

Why do you think Farke & Co have said it will take a number of windows to get the squad sorted out....

1) cashflow being available for new signings

2) trading of some players (I suspect Oli will be sold for a fee much higher than £12m and a couple of cheaper strikers bought in...if its not today then may be January 2018?)

3) fine tuning the squad (Bonier to replace Trybull next summer?)

4) it will take time to offload (time for their contracts to expire) the players we dont really want and free up the wage budget for new signings.

Anything above mid table is a bonus. While we are rebuilding it is vital for this club not to be relegated as it will hit the clubs finances.

BTW. dont forget the guy at Huddersfield flirted with the lower area of the Championship
in his first half of a season (which was Huddesfield's second half of 2015-16) in control.

I am always the optimist after supporting our team for over 50 years, and you are not being realistic only the typical pessimistic supporter, our season will improve to a huge degree of that I am certain, and your views are based on maybe or maybe not, you are not privvy to know what our transfer dealings will be only guesswork!

A manager will plan for the best yet tell us to be prepared for the worst, its not cast iron..its called CYA...Cover Ya Arse.

I dont know how you can call me a pessimist when I have given you a rationale opinion based on what has happened in football over many many years in circumstances where there has been a huge turnover of playing staff and thats without a change of manager.
I am entitled to my opinion as you are entitled to yours. We shall see who is right!

As for transfers we know what has happened this summer and of course we are speculating (please note the use of ?) as to what will happen in the future but then some of us are also realistic about how NCFC operates under Delia & Co.

BTW., which players do you remember from you early days of supporting City?

I think we'll be after 2 more defenders and maybe 3 or 4 midfield.
That's after selling Oli to pay for it all leaving us with Jerome on his own.

Bill Punton..argCHh Always made me laugh when a high ball came to him as would always duck and never head the ball...on the odd occassion when he did it was met with huge applause from the crowd.
My Early Memories.
K Keelan, Alan Black, Clive Payne, Terry Allcock, Terry Anderson, Max Briggs, Mal Lucas, Gordan Bolland, Tommy Bryceland, Hugh Curran, Gerry Mannion, Barry Butler, Dave Stringer, David Cross, Colin Suggett, Chivers, Peters, Forbes, Hockey..............And Right up to today.

My first game was as a 6 year old with my Dad against Leeds...UrgCHCHCH.

Most regulars will know I was mates with Ken Nethercott as I worked with him and he managed our team.
Me and Jimmy Neighbour were also good pals and had some great nights out.
Kevin Keelans son Mark was also another good friend of mine ( He didnt like his Dad tho and lived with his Mum) Also friends with Ron Saunders son....John Bonds son Kevin Hated me tho for shagging his then girlfriend...Well You know how it goes!

My NCFC Knowledge I think you will find is probably second to none!

We are apparently trying to sign 22-year-old Kilmarnock winger Jordan Jones. Fulham are also interested according to the report.

You surely dont question the need for another proven striker after todays performance against Bristol City. It also looks like we need to replace Watkins and One Sheet as both need replacing.

Good spot F C Bears re the Kilmarnock left winger as Murphy needs some competition.
