Was looking at the Championship table last night and we are the lowest scorers in the top 12 with just 9 goals .THAT is why we are 10th and not 5th . As i keep saying , by keeping the useless Jerome at the club he will drag us down this season just as he did the last 2 seasons . The season is nearly two months old , and we are nearly a quarter of the way through it ,and zero goals by one of our main strikers is totally unacceptable .

What I dont understand is how he can go from 20 goals in our promotion (Via Playoffs) season to his abysmal scoring record this season!!
If he has completely lost it then ffs get rid and replace he will be no good as a back up which has been proven already.

I know FFL it is so strange but all down to confidence I think - the fact that we have no attacking coach probably doesn't help. That prem season destroyed his confidence but then last season he scored 16. I also think this season (from what I heard) he was told he could move on hasn't helped.

He said when he joined us that he needs to be playing in the premiership, he thought he was a premiership forward but he now knows he isn't. His record in the top flight is absolute dog shite:

211 game
30 goals

But even before we signed Jerome I knew and other mates whose sides he had played for said he wasn't the best - workhorse but not a massive goal scorer. It doesn't help that he can't play with another forward.

I think he needs a change of scene it will be best for all of us.

He was excellent in our first season but he had Grabban, Lafferty, Hooper and a Loza in the forwards department then last season he had Oliveira and that is it and it is the same this season.

I was listening to RN last night and Simon Lappin and the rest were absolutely raving about Jerome's work rate. I wasn't watching it live so can't comment. Although it all sounds great, we need him to bang them in. Our defence sounds as solid as a rock right now, but the other end remains a problem. Get that right and we could be in with a shout next May.

They creep around him and its sickening.
One moron called in and said he works harder than any other striker in
championship. That is unlikely but even if true he must be the equal lowest scorer.

He can run around all he likes, but needs to stick it in the net somehow or other. Too many misses.

His score/strike rate is pathetic, dont know stats but its probably about 1 in 8 that is of no use to us, he can run around all he likes, however at the end of the day hes here to put the ball in the back of the frigging net!

How anyone can support this guy who was heavily responsible for our Prem relegation with his pathetic 3 goals is beyond me .

3 goals in 38 prem games.
Goal per 12 .7 games.

even if he scores on saturday it would be 1 in 11 games
which is hardly much better !

9 goals in 10 games isn't an issue of one person not scoring, its an issue of no one scoring. Olivera has notched 4 but how many can be classed as classic centre forward goals? In too many games crosses into the box have been non existent. Surely they are the staple diet of any number 9. Our offensive play as a whole is simply not upto scratch. We need to additional strikers, but they, like the ones we already have' require a steady supply of ball with which to ply their trade.
