Lappin is a prat - saying Jerome's goals last season were so important and played his part today?

Back to Lambert days?!?! We were shocking the first half and if not for a bit of Wes magic to Oli we would have lost today. Im delighted with the point but bloody hell, long way off those days.

On the positive side, my prediction was 1-1 and Bristol to win 3-1 so Im off to a decent start

Agreed bears, although next game is Swindon in the cup - can't say im fussed about that game in all honesty and if we are gonna risk an injury id rather it be Jerome!

DF:

We faced one of the strongest teams in the league. I think 1-1 was a fair result. Fulham were good in possession first half. They have quality in midfield but we had the better chances. We dominated more in the second half. We deserved the point and I'm proud of the players.

It [Oliveira's celebration] shows he wants to start. I'm happy with that emotion.

DF:

It's a good sign of our physical condition. We improved minute by minute. I want that attitude of fighting until the last minute.

He said Lewis, Toffolo are both injured too

I can't argue with what DF has said - but I don't understand why he wasn't starting.

I want Nelson to be our number 9. RN now saying Farke kissed Oli at the end lol!

So from the above we finally get rid of Whitts and buy in his replacement with Husband and we have exactly the same problem - easily stripped and the weak link- nutty that one. Some scouting has gone horribly wrong

We cant score last season so we start this one by repeating the same mistake from last season with Jerome up front and he dont score and then get Oli on for a cameo who scores and now he's got the hump.

Thirdly we have the same defence cock-up in Martin who still manages to makes mistakes, scores against us and complains about everyone else - stupid.

Our best player Wildschut gets taken off - same mistake AN used to do - now DF doing it - not a promising sign.

DF still got a lot to learn then, and he now has had a taste of how hard this league is, he still has a long way to go - more signings due Mr Webber? - get onto them quick as we need them. defence to oust Martin and Husband, and a new striker to replace jerome that does Jeromes job but has an eye for goal like Oli.

And DF, get their intuition working so they know where the bar is and hit the ball under it without looking and get them to NOT anticipatorily invest in the outcome of a shot before they actually hit it - might keep their heads down more.

Start Oli next game, its so obvious, Jeromes had his chances.

On a positive note , I always reckon win the home games and draw the aways, so a draw at Craven Cottage against one of the top contenders is good, regardless of how it was achieved.

Nice to hear we have some real talent and that should only get better when we have some of our injuries back up and running.

Worried about Bears comments that it looked scary at times - it was the first, a tester in any sense for us all, and the light preseason opponents hasnt helped I dont think. Tuesdays really not going to be a measure of anything for the league but after the next two ome ga,es we'll know more.

First half all Fulham, not easy to watch

Second half City

Blatent penalty hand ball off the arm - usual first game ref denials for City

Oli goal great but they didnt show his demonstration sadly

Worried about Husband, and not impressed with Nelson. Puts Farke in a difficult position, which we don't need now or any time.
