If Rangers are not going to offer an extra £500k to Dorrans bid then I really can't see them going in for Naismith unless it is a lower fee. Are we going to be stuck with Naismith?

I can't see Webber wanting to keep Naismith on his 50k a week wage. Maybe cut our losses and accept low bids for him saving on his £2.4m a year wgae might be more important than bringing in a larger fee - sell for around 4 million and add on the saved 2.4m wages will be a decent deal, but will anyone want him for 4 million? Moyes not around!!!

Cut the losses and get rid of the losers . They are exactly what we do not need

Naismith talking about Rangers, so hopefully he will be on his way there soon.

I like the suggestion in one report today that we could possibly go for Angus Gunn at City,
Man City now have 4 keepers,
How about a seasons long loan with option to buy if promoted...

I feel that would be unfair on Matthews and Rudd, both of whom should be given the chance now.

Gunn is a good prospect and a Norfolk boy, but I just can't see them selling him - Hart yes I can see him going - Bravo wants to stay as number two - Caballero has left and the new expensive lad will be number one. that will leave the three. A loan will probably be the way forward for Gunn, but I can't see them selling anytime soon.

I feel we should stick with Rudd - Matthews and Jones

Rudd was no worse than Ruddy - the games he played replacing Ruddy they ended up with the same stats. McGovern was no better so unless they bring in a keeper better than Rudd then Rudd can be No 1 - after all he's half a seasons experience better off and presumably will now be stronger, more wise and fitter by the time DF has sorted them out.

I think it will be a good thing for Rudd being in the championship. I felt for him in the prem as he had shit defenders in front of him - Martin - Bassong - Shitts - Wisdom - Bennett who didn't help him at all. I don't think AN was much of a help either.

Get a good defence in front of the lad and that will be a big help.

If Gunn was to come in then I would want a buy clause, as mentioned above. I think for the sake of either Rudd or Matthews, if Gunn was coming in and potential to buy, then let one of them go.

I am still of the opinion that Rudd and Matthews should be given a good go.

Rudd has proven himself capable at this level so why not?
Get some decent defenders in front of him and we'll be ok.

Norwich have announced that we are parting company with Mitchell Dyjks as we couldn't come to an agreement

Gunn has signed.

Welcome back.

'This is the next step of my career, getting games and getting experience, so I’m absolutely buzzing.'

"It’s been a while since I was back but I’ve got lots of friends and family here. It’s just a case of settling back into normal ways now.

"For me, that was a big factor because I had different options. Being from Norwich, and growing up a Norwich fan, it’s a great pleasure to come back and sign on loan. My dad was here for a good number of years and hopefully I can keep the name going at Carrow Road. Of course I've kept an eye on Norwich throughout my career. I’m looking forward to coming back and training hard. We’ll be looking to get a good pre-season under our belts so we can start well, which is important.

"It’s exciting times, with the new regime. Hopefully we’ll have a good season."

All sounds good. But is this the end for Rudd/Matthews? Would be odd if both went and we kept McGovern.

Its a real shame for Rudd - at 26 he should be no 1 by now but he's had a huge competition with Ruddy in front of him and when he took over form his his stats were basically the same - maybe its time he has to think of himself for his career as he could end up being number 3 if McGovern stays.

I dont understand why we, Norwich, who have the enviable reputation of consistently producing fine goalkeepers end up loaning back one of our proteges when on the face of it we should have our own contracted keeper. If we get promoted next year to the Prem and Angus goes back to MC who are we having as a keeper then?. Will Angus be available, would he want to come back and leave MC?. If we dont go up then we have the same problem. I dont quite understand the logic. Hopefully Webber will explain this decision and tell us his forethoughts.
