On behalf of Hitchin Town Football Club thank you to those of you that came and supported our 150 years celebrations last night.

We have quite a strong Norwich City following in the Home Counties area and it was great for Canaries fans from this area get to see their heroes.

A massive thank you to Alex Neil and all the players who made themselves so accessible to the fans, signing autographs, chatting to fans and posing for photographs. I guess Twitter and Facebook will be awash with photo's of selfies with John Ruddy this morning.

For a little club like us it was a fantastic evening that we have been planning for months. We pride ourselves on being a friendly club with a traditional ground and hopefully that friendliness came across to those of you that were able to attend. Last night was about celebration and enjoyment.

A crowd of 1777 on a Tuesday night was fantastic.

Norwich City have been absolutely brilliant in supporting our celebrations and I was working with your media team and regular Norwich City reporters who were a joy to work with.

For my part I was the one who forgot Cameron Jerome's number when trying to announce the second goal!! Ops sorry! But I was kept busy second half.

60% of all proceeds raised from our 150 years events will be going to Charity, half to BBC Children in Need and the other half to a local charity, The Garden House Hospice in Letchworth. Our celebrations do not finish until the end of the year but we will update the club on the total donations to charity once we have those figures, so thank you for supporting our charities.

Good luck for the coming season.

Cheers!
