I got back tonight from a few days in Gorleston after attending my mum's funeral on Thursday. It was a sad few days, but there were some great times spent with close family. The next stage, which I am now struggling with, is accepting that the house will now be cleared and go on the market much sooner than I expected. The "home" I was born in 54 plus years ago, grew up in and spent so much time in over recent years, will be no more. It is a bereavement all of its own. I can't even think about next season at the moment.

Next weekend I am off to Harrogate on a "jolly" so that may restore a smile to my face at least. I am not interested in the tea rooms, only the pubs!!

Keep strong sminks. Its been a traumatic close season for you with your mum and me with my daughters. Still hurting and I guess it will for a while for both of us. I dont do pubs except when I come to Norwich with the vital crew but I have had two flagons of an extremely nice port delivered so am having that before bedtime interspersed with a Baileys now and again.

It seems we are always a breathe away from pain and sorrow. What is also true is that healing and comfort are also not that far away.

My thoughts and hopes are with you both.

..... you would think that the NCFC webmaster would get rid of the best v Ipswich poll with old matches and no new ones - semi-final playoffs last season surely would count now wouldn't it?. The poll's been running for so long its got barnacles on it. Ans whats the point of it?.

From the selected font at ground / programme / web site ( which is terrible ) and the latest crap shirt design , it is clear the people employed by NCFC have not got a clue about design.

Well Brady deal should be sorted by at least the weekend if not sooner!

We playing Cambridge tonight aren't we in a 120 minute game.

I am going cinema at 21:00, so I'll do my report on the game until I have to go :-)

Haha - why didn't they just do what they have been doing and have two different side at before and after HT?

Will be interesting to see who is involved tonight and then who goes on the trip.

maybe Lafferty will be left to play for the development squad...sorry the u21s
