McCarthy Denies Telling His Own Fans To F@*k Off
Mick McCarthy is a straight talking bloke, I think we`d all agree, wouldn`t we?
"Objectionable" is how my mum describes him but he actually makes me smile on occasions with some of the stuff he comes out with during press conferences and media chats.
During the post match media stuff, after seeing his Ipswich side concede a 95th minute equaliser, McCarthy was asked about his reaction to Luke Chambers goal in the 89th minute.
Sky TV cameras caught Mick in full flow after Chambers headed in from a Martin Waghorn corner and you don`t need to be a professional lip reader to understand what he was saying.
To give this some context, Mick doesn`t enjoy the best rapport with some of his club`s fans. He was given a chant of "You don`t know what you`re doing" when he substituted Dominic Iorfa for Jordan Spence late on and his reaction could`ve been aimed at then for that.
It`s an easy conclusion to come to and Mick`s rant was certainly in the general direction of the Ipswich fans.

When asked if he had used a swear word, he said: "Oh, so you are putting words in my mouth are you? No, it was just me celebrating the game, mate. It was a reaction to the game. I wanted to win the game and we didn`t."
