Bristol City v Norwich City Team News
In all the furore over the sale of Alex Pritchard this week, you could be forgiven for forgetting that there`s a game this Saturday and in case you had forgotten, it`s against the Championship`s surprise package, Bristol City.
To say they have been good so far is an understatement and their recent performances in the Carabao Cup have underlined what a good side they are.
Tomorrow, Norwich will have to take them on at Ashton Gate with a depleted squad due to injury and transfers.
Obviously, Alex Pritchard has been sold and this morning it was announced that Yanic Wildschut has gone out on loan to Cardiff.
In terms of injuries, the biggest problem is probably the absence of Super Tom Trybull, who has back trouble.
Speaking at his usual pre-match presser on Friday lunchtime, this is what Daniel Farke had to say at Colney
"We`ll have to do without Tom Trybull because he has problems with his back."
"He felt it in the last game, and it hasn`t improved since then which is a real shame because he was in a good shape.
"Yesterday he trained with us in the morning but his back got worse and worse, and this morning he was hardly able to walk. We can`t judge how serious it is yet, as back injuries can come and go, but we hope he can come back pretty soon."
That leaves a space next to Alex Tettey and although not 100% fit, Harrison Reed has travelled with the squad, as has Marco Stiepermann who returned to training this week. It would seem likely to me that Mario Vrancic will start in place of Trybull.
Nelson Oliveira has also returned to the squad is should start.
"Nelson is available," Farke said.
"The problems with his feet are sorted out. Jerome is back in team training but it`s a bit early for tomorrow. Hopefully he`ll be ok for the Chelsea game, but to be safe maybe it might be better for Sheffield United."
With the loss of Tom Trybull and Alex Pritchard, this will be a tough game but as ever, the gaps will be filled by lads who want to grab their chance in the first team.
