Norwich Keen On Liverpool Striker?
Norwich City are one of four teams reportedly keen on Liverpool`s highly rated young striker, Ben Woodburn according to The Sun
Woodburn, 18, has Preston, Leeds, Norwich and Chris Coleman`s Sunderland all chasing him next month with Liverpool ready to agree a loan spell for the Reds` youngest ever senior goal scorer.
The Sun reckon that Coleman, who gave the lad his international debut when Wales boss, has Woodburn as his "number one target" in this report. He scored aged just 17 for Wales on his debut and went on to get 6 caps under Coleman before the former defender became Sunderland manager, earlier this season.
Woodburn also broke Michael Owen`s record as Liverpool`s youngest ever scorer when he netted against Leeds last season aged 17 years and 45 days last season.
With City in need of a spark, this sort of player could well be just the tonic needed at Carrow Road although, as ever, Premier League sides are not keen on loaning players out only to see them sit on the bench. Whichever team he joins will need to be able to promise first team football to Liverpool or he will surely go elsewhere.
Fingers crossed because this is a decent player.
