Forest v Norwich Team News

Tom Trybull will miss Tuesday night's trip to Nottingham Forest with a back injury says Daniel Farke.

The Norwich Head Coach spoke to the media at Colney on Monday lunchtime and confirmed that a back injury would keep Super Tom out for a week to ten days, as reported by canaries.co.uk

"Tom Trybull is not available," Farke said.

"He got several hits in his back against Barnsley and he has a strain. The doctor says he`ll probably be out for seven to 10 days. We`ll probably have to do without him for the next two games, although there`s a very small possibility he might be available for Preston on Saturday."

Trybull has been an ever present since making his league debut against Birmingham in September and in that time, he's become a firm fan favourite. Having said that, he didn't look his combative self against Barnsley but then, no-one exactly covered themselves in glory there.

James Husband will be out for a couple of weeks with a groin strain picked up against Barnsley but was ineligible for the Forest game anyway due to picking up his fifth booking on Saturday. Steven Naismith is still troubled by his ankle, an issue that has blighted him for a couple of months now and Todd Cantwell will be in the senior squad again on Tuesday night.

Alex Pritchard and Russell Martin have both travelled with the U23s today, to face Wolves tonight with Pritchard desperate to play a part, although Farke is wary of giving the cultured playmaker to much game time.

"Alex Pritchard is burning to play and wants to step on the pitch," he said.

"He looks good in training, but it`s early days so we have to handle him well and he will get minutes with the under-23s.

"The temptation is big to bring him back in - he`s a key player for our offence and one of the best players in the Championship. He can make a difference in games with his creativity, and he`s full of ability and he brings goals and assists. But I have to be patient and we have to be careful with his load, because we want to bring him in when he`s 100%. Anything less than that won`t help him and it won`t help us and we want to make sure we don`t risk injuring him again by playing him when he`s not 100%.

'We look forward to the day he returns and he`s really hungry to be involved."
