Norwich Injury Update
Norwich City are in good shape ahead of Sunday`s big test against Ipswich Town at Portman Road.
Daniel Farke spoke to the assembled media at Colney on Friday, ahead of his biggest game as the Canaries` Head Coach and gave a positive injury update.
Josh Murphy has trained for the last two days and will be a late call for squad inclusion as he recovers from a broken toe.
Marco Stiepermann is fully fit again and Farke will have a decision to make over his involvement. Does he drop James Husband for Marco? I`d be surprised, as Husband has played pretty well since replacing the injured Stiepermann at Middlesbrough. Marco will certainly be in the squad though, he could play on the left ahead of Husband if Murphy doesn`t start.
In terms of Nelson Oliveira, the City Head Coach described his in-form striker as "feeling better." Whether that means he is fit enough to start against the Blues is an unknown and probably something that Farke will keep under his hat until Sunday. If I had to put money on it, I`d expect Cameron Jerome to start and Nelson to be an option from the bench depending on how the match is going.
Russell Martin will play for the U23s on Saturday while Steven Naismith is also still unavailable but likely to re-join first team training next week.
Other than that, there`s nothing new to report on the injury front. Alex Tettey is obviously still out, which is a blow because this would be just his sort of game, but it does mean another chance for Harrison Reed to get stuck in, something he will no doubt relish.
