Norwich Agree To Sell Jacob Murphy

Newcastle have agreed a deal with Norwich City for the sale of Jacob Murphy according to John Percy of the Telegraph.

Percy is a reliable source of transfer information and has tweeted the following this afternoon from his Twitter account @JPercyTelegraph:

'Newcastle have agreed a £12.5m fee with Norwich for Jacob Murphy #nufc #ncfc #otbc'

So, that seems to be that. There is of course no official confirmation from anyone yet and we will wait for that but £12.5m? I think we can do a lot of rebuilding with that.

Tbh I've had my fill of it. I don't honestly see him as much above ordinary. How many successful U21 internationals go on to set the world slight? Not a significant number go on to full caps. His agents will pocket millions, yet twelve months down the line he's far more likely to be who? on loan at Scunthorpe than Wow in the premiership. There's a lot of talk about Farkes high intensity training. Another I think, like Howson, who had no intension working for a scandalously high financial return.

We Could have saved money on his plane ticket and hotel stay. 12.5 million is that upfront? I was hearing that is the case with other add ons too. I hope this goes back into reinvestment of the club. Do we have another winger on his sid of the pitch? Expect this again next summer if Josh has a good season and we don't go up. I can't see Newcastle staying up at the moment.

If that is their idea of a good signing they will be straight back down.
