McGovern Interests Rotherham

McGovern Interests Rotherham

Michael McGovern will be allowed to leave Norwich this summer according to HITC Sport

HITC are reporting an Eastern Daily Press story that suggests the former Hamilton keeper brought to Carrow Road just last summer will be allowed to leave, with Rotherham named as being interested in taking him on loan.

McGovern is under contract until 2019 and it seems as though Rotherham will need to pay some of his wages, although even then, he could cost too much. It might depend on how generous Norwich are prepared to be on the wage front.

Seems a little unlikely to me that he'd be going to League One, although the suggestion that he could be allowed to leave wouldn't surprise me.

Can't seem him coming to Rotherham we already have 3 keepers and from what the club said other day they are working from the front to the back so looking for a new exspensive keeper looks to me like this is fake news

Probably right, Chris. It strikes me as odd and I've no doubt he's (too) well paid at Norwich

Lots of players like that now tucker. Just look at teams like derby ,villa ,forest , Birmingham and Ipswich they get paid a boot load of money but won't get results why because they already get close to premiership money so why bother winning league or playoffs and yet look at who's in play off final 2 teams who were close to the drop last season if I remember right and on lower wages I bet

Spot on, Chris. Our squad is full of them. Huddersfield " only" spent £6m on their entire first eleven. Shows that money isn't always the answer...
