Watkins Interesting Norwich?

Watkins Interesting Norwich?

Barnsley winger, Marley Watkins has left the reds after rejecting a contract offer and is now available as a free agent. Watkins bid goodbye to the Barnsley faithful with a message to them on Twitter on Wednesday and could be interesting Burnley, Wolves and Norwich City, according to The Sun via HITC Sport

I expect that a number of Championship clubs would be keen on this lad, who at 26 years old is reaching his peak. He scored ten goals last season and on a free would look to be a decent acquisition - assuming we`re in the market for a new winger, of course.

Josh Scowen has also turned down a new contract at Barnsley and also leaves Oakwell on a free. A combative midfielder at age 24, he could also be a positive addition.

All bloody midfielders again being linked! Is AN still here?

All this speculation is just *********. We get the best of who wants to come here, loans free or otherwise only when the deal is signed. My guess is that the new head coach along with SW will start the new patient rebuild next season from premiership loans and hungry youngsters trying to make a name for themselves integrated with a few of our die hard mavericks. It's a hard slog with luck thrown in but it can be done and we as City fans must stay on side and give it time. Anything better than play offs is an absolute bonus.
