With Jason Shackell suspended and Dion Dublin carrying a groin strain, club captain Craig Fleming, declares that he is willing to overcome his own injury problems to line up with also-crocked, Gary Doherty, if Peter Grant chooses to go for the old guard.
Fleming is recovering from a hamstring injury. The first injury in more than four years to have sidelined him for any length of time.
The point is, he admits that he isn't fully ready.
'If I have to play I'll play - the same with Doc,' he told the Pink Un. 'We could probably both do with a little more time to get back up to match fitness, but Dion has a bit of a problem and Shacks is suspended so we might not have that luxury.
'But every time you pull on the shirt you do your best and we'll be no different.'
No disrespect to him, but he doesn't have time on his side. Grant's dilemma will be to go for experience, even with injuries, or take a gamble on the youngsters who are chomping at the bit for the chance to impress?
We will need to wait this out to see which way it goes.
