Chung-Yong Yang-thony Pilkington

One snippet we found in the Sunday People this morning was a story suggesting Norwich are in discussion with Bolton to exchange winger Lee Chong-Yang for Anthony Pilkington.

The players are both 26, both in their last year of contract, both valued at approx £1m and both roughly playing at the same level.

I've always been fascinated by the idea of a straight swap - as if magically by changing teams both players will suddenly become the answer to both teams problems. When in reality they very rarely work out.

The Blue Dragon (literal translation) has played over 150 times for Bolton, scoring 14 goals and has international experience with South Korea.

Pilkington, of course has been niggled by injuries - but firmly made a nest in our hearts after scoring THAT header against Man U.

I, personally, like Pilks. He seems a nice bloke. Hope, whatever happens, he keeps injury free and gets a run in a team that want him.

Seems utterly pointless to me. Only possible benefit would be if he is injury free.
