O'Neil Set To Sign For City

Former QPR midfielder, Gary O'Neil is set to sign for Norwich City in the next day or so it seems after he confirmed as much to TalkSport on Sunday.

Talking to the Sports Breakfast show, O'Neil said:

'I got a phone call the other day from Norwich saying that they were interested.'

'I've been in talks with them for a couple of days. It`s looking good, it`s basically all done. We just need to sign things.'

O'Neil admitted it had been a nervous time for him, trying to find a new club for the start of the season, despite keeping his fitness levels up at Loftus Road during the summer.

'My last two seasons in the Championship have earned promotion - the first with West Ham and QPR last year. So it`s two from two, so I`m looking to make it a hat-trick this year if we get things sorted at Norwich.'

Good lad!

I heard the interview. He sounded very professional. I'm not sure he had the level of passion that Canary fans demand though.
