City Keen On Arsenal Midfielder

City Keen On Arsenal Midfielder

According to the Football League World website, both Norwich and Cardiff are interested in Arsenal midfielder, Francis Coquelin.

Coquelin is described as a 'defensive midfielder' and the story reports that while Cardiff see him as a replacement for Inter Milan bound, Gary Medel, Norwich are reportedly keeping tabs on him as they look to add 'depth and strength' to their side.

Hmm, City have too many players already in my opinion and the midfield is already very strong. If he is a defensive midfielder, then he would surely be viewed as a replacement should someone suddenly leave because I doubt he's going to be ahead of Tettey or Johnson in the pecking order.

The lad is 23 and spent last season on loan at SC Freiburg in the Bundesliga, where he made just 16 appearances.

I told you not to get too excited.

I don't have your confidence in our midfield. Perhaps at this level they are sufficient but they were certainly found wanting last season. We have no one who can really boss the midfield and it's highly likely that Fer will be occupying the treatment bench at some other club.
