Snodgrass For £8m?

Snodgrass For £8m?

Earlier this week, we brought you news of a £6m Hull bid for Robert Snodgrass being turned down - that report came from The Shields Gazette (This is how I spend my evenings).

Today, The Daily Mail reckon that Hull City are back and are now offering £6m plus add ons that would take a total transfer deal to £8m!

Yesterday, The Tigers completed the signing of Jake Livermore for a reported £8m from Spurs and are also reportedly chasing his old team mate, Michael Dawson.

Are they really prepared to spend £8m on Snoddy? A player with just one year left on his contract. Are City that determined to hang on to their star man? Is Snodgrass really wanting to move to a club that could easily be playing Championship football next season?

Is this all a load of old cods wallop?!

We just don't know - the continuing speculation surrounding Snodgrass and Hull suggests there's more than just something in it, with the Mail reporting that talks are ongoing between the two clubs.

With the players due to return for pre-season training on Monday, it seems something will give, either way, fairly soon.

Should he move it is not going to be to a top 6 club. Thus which ever team secures his services is likely to be in the relegation dog fight. It is now the nature of the division. 6 million would be great 8 fantastic. At least he will go as a player who gave his all to the club. It would certainly bring the Rhodes fee well with in reach.
