Fer Suffers Hamstring Injury

Fer Suffers Hamstring Injury

Norwich City and Holland midfielder, Leroy Fer has suffered a hamstring injury during training with the Dutch squad.

According to the Dutch Football Association KNVB, Fer suffered the injury during a light training session on Tuesday, following his goal scoring exploits against Chile on Monday.

Fer scored within 90 seconds of coming on as a late substitute to put Holland ahead in the vital group game. Holland went on to win two nil.

Fer is described as having limped off, having felt pain in his left thigh at the Flamengo training complex in Rio de Janeiro.

It'll be a big blow to the lad and City fans, many of whom are behind Holland after the English team surrendered without much of a fight.

Holland will play Mexico in the last 16, next Monday but if it is a hamstring injury then Leroy has to be a big doubt.
