Snodgrass To Stay?

Norwich City`s second kit teaser has aired over the weekend and this time the star is Robert Snodgrass taking on the role of a window cleaner. The first one, last week starred Nathan Redmond as a car park attendant at the Carrow Road portacabin.

It`s all a bit of fun and certainly makes the kit unveiling a little bit more interesting than your average effort but I think that the players involved in these video teasers is very interesting.

Nothing is certain in football and I may be getting this completely wrong but what previous new kit unveilings have shown is that the players involved are always first team regulars and all stay at the Club throughout the season. Russell Martin`s name is shown on the back of a shirt in the half second glimpses of the new shirt as the teasers end.

After all, why would you make videos and take PR photos of your players in a new kit and then sell those players a few weeks later? The PR photos of last season`s kit were used throughout the season in the stores and at the Carrow Road shop - simple stuff for a business, I feel.

I`m not so concerned about Nathan Redmond because I was pretty confident he would stay anyway, but Robert Snodgrass is the subject of much speculation including more in today`s Sunday papers, suggesting he`s about to be sold to Hull.

With him appearing here, I just don`t see that adding up. I think that this is a subtle way of City telling us that Snoddy will be staying, of course I may be wrong (it wouldn`t be the first time) but hopefully 2 + 2 = 4.

If it is purely about business, Snodgrass is our best player, he is valued at 6.5m or so given the press reports. If he makes the difference between promotion or not then his value far exceeds that. It's a multi million pound gamble of course, but maybe one worth taking. Besides which if we do get promotion he may well stay on further?

Snoddy loves to be loved and has more chance of that in the championship. Plus he loves Norwich.
