Four Clubs Chasing Wilson
Callum Wilson is in demand right now and is the subject of interest from a number of clubs in The Championship, as a result he seems certain to move this summer.
The Coventry striker bagged 22 goals for The Sky blues last season and understandably, his club are reluctant to sell him but manager, Steven Pressley concedes that he may lose his top forward.
Bournemouth, Norwich City, Brentford and Wolverhampton Wanderers are understood to be those showing the most interest at present.
Pressley told the Coventry Telegraph: "The current situation is he`s not for sale.
"When you have got four clubs involved, the bidding can become very aggressive.
"But as I have stressed before, the situation is Callum is a player we don`t want to lose and is an integral part of what we want to create here."
Last week, Coventry's Development Director Steve Waggott said: "We have had approaches from other Championship clubs who are keen to secure the services of one of the best young strikers around in League One at the moment.
"But as it stands, we have rebuffed and rejected all offers that have come in.
"We have had what I would call four firm enquiries altogether, compromising two written bids, one quite firm verbal offer and one indicative enquiry where they have said they are interested.
"They are all Championship clubs, which is to be expected, to be honest."
They're not going to be able to hold onto their man with such a clamour for his signature and will be concentrating on getting top money for him. You'd like to think that we can pay more than any of those other three clubs and having just left the top flight could appear on paper as the most appealing option for the player.
He'll certainly cost a lot less than Ross McCormack.
