Wilson Rumours Gather Pace

Wilson Rumours Gather Pace

Coventry City striker, Callum Wilson has been in the news in the last few days after his name was linked with Norwich City.

It seems very likely that he will move to the Championship this summer with Coventry having reportedly rejected four bids already.

Coventry's development director Steve Waggott maintains that Wilson is not for sale.

He said: "We have had approaches from four Championship clubs who are keen to secure the services of one of the best young strikers around.

"As it stands we have rebuffed and rejected all offers that have come in.

"We`ve had what I would call four firm enquiries all together, comprising two written bids, one quite firm verbal offer and one indicative enquiry where they have said they are interested.

"They are all Championship clubs, which is to be expected to be honest."

Norwich City's name is being heavily linked as well as that of Bournemouth who are reportedly one of the bidding clubs.

I've never seen him play, is he worth a go, anybody know?

As a Coventry fan, with Norwich as my second team; I'd have to say yes, he's bloody brilliant; doesn't often get caught offside, absolutely blistering pace and seems to have that innate sense of where the goal is. Definitely better than League one. But I hope Coventry can keep him; he probably needs one more year before 'expectation' kicks in, but if he's got to go, I'd like to see him at Carrow Road.

It would be nice to see him stay with us but interest from a club just out of the Prem is a step up from those teams linked so far.
