Redmond Committed To City
Norwich City winger, Nathan Redmond has insisted that he is committed to Norwich City and aims to do all he can to help them return to the Premier League.
It comes on the back of a man of the match performance for England U21s on Monday night in the 1-3 win over Wales U21s when he scored all three of England's goals.
Speaking to The Daily Star after the game, Redmond said: "I signed a four-year contract when I joined so I am committed, and my future is in the club`s hands.'
"I`ve had chats with my family and my mum, and my focus is solely on putting in good performances for Norwich that hopefully mean we will get back up at the end of next season.
"Of course the Premier League is the best in the world, and you want to be there, but you have to accept that you get downs in football and you have to deal with them.
"I am just looking to put in some good performances for England now, and hopefully I can continue that form in pre-season and hit the ground running."
Redmond flew out to France yesterday as part of a 19 mand squad to take part in the annual Toulon tournament.
The young England side will play Qatar tomorrow night before facing Brazil, South Korea and then Columbia as they play 3 matches in 5 days next week.
Redmond's hat trick against Wales saw him take his England U21 record to 5 goals in 10 games but he says the hat trick didn't sink in until he rang his mum after the match.
"It was a proud moment, but it didn`t quite sink in until I gave her a call and she was so delighted for me.
"I was just as glad, though, to be part of such a good team performance.
"It`s my first senior hat-trick, and it is an amazing feeling, and hopefully the first of many more as I move forward in my career."
Good stuff from Redderz, he will be an integral part of next season's City team and keeping him will be a big boost as I fully expect him to make mince meat of Championship defences.
