Van Gaal Interested In Fer?

A story on Football Direct News, which I have to say is not always the most accurate of sources, suggests that new Manchester United boss, Louis van Gaal could be interested in City midfielder, Leroy Fer.

Van Gaal will conduct an overhaul of the United squad and will certainly be looking for midfield players and is currently being linked with everyone who plays that position, anywhere in the world.

Fer still has three years left on his contract at City and that puts Norwich in the drivng seat, so any move would have to be on our terms.

The link comes from Van Gaal's position as Netherlands coach and the fact that Fer has been picked for a number of recent squads and is in Louis' initial 30 man squad for the World Cup.

The Dutch are short on midfield players due to injuries to several players which makes me think that Leroy may well be on the plane to Brazil.
