Ayala To Follow Becchio To Boro

Ayala To Follow Becchio To Boro

Reports in the North East this morning are suggesting that along with a bid for Luciano Becchio, Middlesborough also want City defender, Daniel Ayala.

It is being suggested that an agreement has been reached that will see the 22 year old Spaniard move to The Riverside, initially on loan with a view to a permanent move in January.

After moving to City from Liverpool in August 2011 for £800,000, Ayala made just 7 appearances that season due to injury. In the summer of 2012, the recruitment of Seb Bassong and Michael Turner saw Dani pushed further down the pecking order and he went out on loan to Nottingham Forest where he played just 12 times due to further injury problems.

We didn't see a lot of him but to my mind he is one that needs to move on for the good of both Norwich City and the lad's own career.

A move to 'Boro along with Becchio could be just what they both need and I would expect both to do well.
