Oldham boss confirms Cody interest
Oldham Athletic boss Paul Dickov has confirmed the club have had talks with City striker Cody McDonald about a move to Boundary Park.
25-year-old McDonald hit 25 league goals on loan at Gillingham last season and Dickov, who is also interested out-of-contract Clayton Donaldson, told his club's official website:
'I am not stupid and realise that goalscorers of their calibre are going to attract a lot of interest.
'I have spoken to both, but there are a lot of clubs in for them.
'If it is purely down to money, then they are not my type of player. I want footballers who will buy into what we are trying to achieve here.'
Cody has been linked with a host of clubs so far this summer, including Millwall, Peterborough, Colchester and most other League One clubs.
