McGoldrick set to start for Forest

David McGoldrick may start for Nottingham Forest against the Canaries at Carrow Road tonight (7.45pm).

The striker came off the bench to score both goals in Forest's 2-0 win against Burnley on Tuesday but his place in the starting eleven may well depend on the fitness of Nathan Tyson, who missed the game against the Clarets with a back problem.

Chris Cohen will miss the game through suspension thanks to the red card he received against Leeds, and although Robbie Findley is back in full training tonight's game may come too soon for him.

Dexter Blackstock and Kelvin Wilson are still injured, and Joel Lynch (thig) and Paul Anderson (rib) again miss out.

The win against Burnley ended a run of nine games without a win for the Reds, who now find themselves just outside the play-off places. It is a far cry from a month ago when Forest looked to be on a charge and ready to seriously challenge QPR for the title, but speaking to the club's official site boss Billy Davies admitted he is happy to just be in with a shout of promotion.

'We're just delighted with the fact that with five games remaining we're in the mix,' he said.

'We can ask no more of this group of players because they have got us into this position. What we will do is give it our best shot over the remaining games.

'At least we've given ourselves an opportunity but it will be a photo-finish and there will be many clubs involved. It will be a very exciting end to the season.'
