Alnwick heads back to Tottenham

Goalkeeper Ben Alnwick has returned to Tottenham to undergo treatment on a hip injury.The 22-year-old faces six weeks on the sidelines thanks to the injury picked up in the midweek win over Brentford, and speaking to canaries.co.uk City boss Paul Lambert said:

'It's a blow. He's done well, he's done great the other night against Brentford, where he has made a really good save from their lad's header.'

Lambert also confirmed that he has no plans to replace Alnwick at present, as Fraser Forster will battle it out with Declan Rudd and Michael Theoklitos.
