Midfield duo face lengthy spell on the sidelines
City midfielders Matt Gill and Owain Tudur Jones face a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
Gill went off injured at Brentford a fortnight ago, and is expected to be out of action for a further two months.
Owain Tudur Jones played 90 minutes against Sunderland last week in the Carling Cup, but missed Saturday's win at Hartlepool with a calf injury which City boss Paul Lambert said today will keep him out of contention for a 'few weeks'.
The news comes as a blow for the summer signings, but in Stephen Hughes, Korey Smith, Tom Adeyemi and dare we say it, Darel Rusell, Lambert has the sort of strength in depth not enjoyed by City managers for a while.

A good opportunity for Hughes to secure his place, and for our youngsters to gain experience, and how bizarre... a doorway back in for Russel? - maybe his ego has taken a dent and he's realised rotting on the sidelines is not gonna get him a Championship contract... this season just gets more unpredictable by the minute..!
